Auxiliary
@BUSTIFIRE
HistoryThe Busti Fire Department Ladies
Auxillary was organized in 1941 by a group of 25 ladies who were, for
the most part, wives of the members of the Fire Department. Their
purpouse was to be of help to the men of the department in their
endeavor to make our community a safe place to live.
Today, the Busti Fire
Auxiliary has nearly 50 members who still work with the Fire Department
in their continued quest to better our community. At the time of major
fires, the auxiliary can be found at the scene supplying food and drink
to the firefighters. Annually, the Auxiliary makes a monetary donation
to the Fire Department to augment their Finances.
The Auxiliary is known
for their food at the fund raising events the Fire Department and local
community organizations host such as the Annual Apple Harvest Festival
and the Pumpkin Hurling Festival.
